An exceptional complex velvet Anthurium combining ‘Zara Michelle’ lineage genetics with Scott Cohen’s selected Anthurium carlablackiae ‘OG5’.

This individual is already showing an especially attractive phenotype. The foliage is deeply velvety and dark green with broad, brilliantly contrasting silver-white venation. Its compact cordate leaf shape, pronounced basal lobes and subtle reddish coloration around the sinus and margins give it an exceptionally refined appearance even at this relatively young stage.

The Zara Michelle side represents modern velvet Anthurium breeding with ancestry associated with the broader Tim Anderson-derived breeding lineage, while ‘OG5’ is a selected A. carlablackiae from Scott Cohen. The combination brings together complex cultivated velvet genetics with one of the highly regarded carlablackiae selections in cultivation.

As a seed-grown hybrid, this plant is genetically unique. Mature leaf shape, darkness, venation, texture and emergent coloration will continue to develop as the plant grows.
