Monstera Albo — Variegated borsigiana, Small Form (Grower’s Choice)

A variegated small form of Monstera deliciosa (the trade name “borsigiana” denotes the smaller, faster-climbing form — it is not a separately accepted species). Sectoral and marbled white variegation, genetically unstable and unique to each plant: no two specimens are identical. Juvenile leaves are smaller and less fenestrated; variegation expression varies between growth cycles. Like all white-variegated Monsteras, growth is slower than the green form due to reduced chlorophyll.

Specialist care (sourced). Bright indirect light — the white tissue needs good light to support the plant but scorches in direct sun (Eureka Farms; GBIF cultivation notes). Rich, loose, well-draining aroid mix; let the substrate partly dry between waterings rather than watering on a schedule. Normal household warmth (50–80°F / 10–27°C); growth stalls below 50°F. Appreciates humidity (humidifier or occasional misting, especially in winter). Light balanced feeding in active growth. Habitat-derived (INFERRED): the species is native to tropical forests from southern Mexico to Panama (Wikipedia/GBIF) — an understory climber, so dappled bright light, warm humid air, and a chunky, epiphyte-adapted substrate; give it a pole to climb as it matures.

What you’ll receive. One grower’s-choice juvenile plant. Variegation amount, pattern, and future expression are not guaranteed and will change with growth — that’s the nature of albo.
